Invocation

for SATB a cappella chorus

“Invocation” is the first track on the Carpenters’ debut album Ticket to Ride (1969). Richard and Karen loved choral music. Tim reached out to Mr. Carpenter, indicating an interest to perform the piece as an opening to each of Stetson’s 2026 tour programs. We are grateful for his kind response and support. It is a delight to share the transcription and make “Invocation” available to all. —SP
